Two audiences, one source of truth.
We built the entire tower and surrounding context in Houdini, with calibrated atmospherics tuned to the specific light conditions of Chicago's lakefront. The same scene file powered both the architectural review package and the marketing configurator — ensuring absolute consistency between the two.
The configurator was built in Unreal Engine, with lightmap baking that allowed prospective buyers to walk the unit in real-time at 4K. Finish swaps were instant; sales staff could run through ten variants in a single showing.
The final stills were rendered at 12K for print and downsampled for digital. Every frame was calibrated against the actual site photography from the existing lakefront to ensure contextual accuracy.
